Enquiry Form

  1. Please answer the following question before any enquiry.

  2. Are you inquiring about a plate and frame type heat exchanger?

    Yes     No

  3. Sorry, we only deal with plate heat exchangers, we cannot help you with other type of heat exchangers such as shell and tube, coil or fin type.

  4. Are you using non refrigerant gas or air as one of the fluid?

    Yes     No

  5. Sorry, we cannot help you with a gas or air application, the fluid used must be a liquid or a refrigerant.

Brazed Plate

For extreme heat transmission jobs, a brazed plate heat exchanger can provide a strong and efficient solution. The high heat transmission comes from the plate pattern which is designed to create a turbulent flow whilst maintain low pressure drops. The entire system is comprised only of heat transfer surface – without rubber gaskets – so can operate continuously at temperatures from minus 180°C up to 200°C, with a pressure rating of up to 2,500kPa (362 psi). The plate pack, assembled with two end plates and connections, is vacuum brazed at extremely high temperatures providing a permanently sealed heat exchanger.

These heat exchangers are highly economical to run, very compact (up to 60% smaller than traditional heat exchangers) and require only thin plate material, making brazed plate systems extremely competitive in pricing. These units offer significant advantages over old-style shell and tube or coaxial devices being. Typical uses include:

  • Heating and cooling duties in the manufacturing industry for clean fluids such as hydraulic oil, refrigerants and scheme water.
  • Heating and cooling in HVAC installations.
  • Evaporation and condensation in DX chilling applications with refrigeration systems using R-22, R-134a, R-404a, R410a and other refrigerants
