Free Flow

The free flow plate heat exchanger is specially designed for fruit juice, sugar and general industrial markets handling fluids which contain fibre or solids. The plates sit together without any metal contact between them, ensuring flow is unimpeded and that particles will not be caught in the plates. Gasket are clip on and are available in Nitrile and EPDM. Plates are available in AISI 316, Titanium, SMO 254 and Hastelloy.

Typical uses of free flow heat exchange systems include:

  • Cooling/heating of fibrous material, like fruit juice, containing pulps.
  • Pasteurizing cream, yoghurt and viscous ice cream mixes.
  • Cooling wort with mash.
  • Cooling mustard and tomato sauces.
  • Cooling and heating biodiesels during fermentation, liquefaction, distillation, rectification and evaporation
  • Heat recovery from industrial applications, containing impurities, such as waste water or cellulose.
