Plate & Frame

The gasketed plate heat exchanger is a compact and efficient heat transfer solution for a wide variety of applications in practically all industries. The PHE works with low pressure drop but maintaining high turbulence across the plate surface for maximum heat transfer. Sondex plates feature superior gasket security by means of a closed gasket groove. The plate gasket can be either glue on or clip on and are available in Nitrile and EPDM. Sondex plates are designed with channels preventing "dead spots" on the plate heat exchanger, and the system is set up to enable easy dismantling for cleaning or addition of plates.

Our heat exchangers are designed individually to each application, with the number and size of the plates determined by the fluid flow rates, thermodynamic and fluid dynamic properties of the fluids, allowable pressure drop and temperature difference. This engineered design ensures you get the most suitable and cost effective heat transfer solution backed by HEWA’s unparalleled customer service and technical support.

Plates are available in AISI 316, Titanium, SMO 254 and Hastelloy, and typical uses for PHE systems include:
